For Labor Day weekend, our family went to family camp at the YMCA. My brother, his family and my mom joined us as we stayed in the YMCA cabins. It was a great experience and a nice little introduction to camp life for our boys. Maybe next summer, we'll send our oldest to summer camp....EEECK!
We enjoyed the activities the Y puts together for you. One of our favorites was archery. This is me...trying to pretend to know what I'm doing.
The boys had fun down at the lake for a while. This lake is a mountain lake...so this mama wasn't getting in, but the boys never seem to mind if the water is frigid.
And since this is a mountain lake, it's also one of the most beautiful, pristine lakes I've ever seen. It's surrounded by tall mountains and beautiful sunsets. We couldn't get enough of just looking out at the water and sky.
In the evenings, after the kids went to bed, we stayed out on the porch. We stared up at the sky and made wishes on shooting stars. The end of summer is near and what a wonderful way to spend these last couple days.
Relaxation, at it's best. "Hi Mom!" (She's probably going to be mad at me for posting this!)
